We are excited to announce the release of an enhanced feature that significantly expands our rubric functionality: support for single-point rubrics. This new addition allows educators to provide more focused and personalized feedback, emphasizing specific criteria that students must meet. Single-point rubrics streamline the evaluation process by centering on one column of expectations, making it easier to highlight strengths and areas for improvement without the complexity of multiple scoring levels. This feature aims to enhance the clarity and effectiveness of assessments, fostering better communication and understanding between educators and students.
- Rubric criteria can now be configured as single-point criteria.
- A single-point criterion allows for two types of feedback inputs, one where a student could still improve and one where the student performs above expectations. Curriculum designers can define these labels themselves.
- If a student performs conform standard, a single-point criterion can be marked as "meets expectations" without providing any further feedback by clicking on the criterion description.
- Single-point criteria are displayed in a table-like view, allowing for a quick overview of competencies that are still in development or those that excel.
- The inputs for single-point criterion are displayed to the left and right of the criterion, unless there is insufficient space; then the inputs are displayed directly below the criterion.
- It is possible to mix traditional and single-point criteria in a given rubric.
- Single-point rubrics can be combined with a quantitative grading scheme.
