Feedback can be collected in many ways. Formal feedback is generally given by your teacher, this can range from textual feedback to a structured rubric.
Informal feedback is generally collected by you, for example via a feedback request (e.g., from an external source) or in the form of a self-reflection, or by your peers through peer feedback.
Your work can only be viewed by you but once it is submitted, it becomes visible to your supervisor(s).
When you submit any work, by default your supervisors are notified so that they may provide feedback. Often this action alone is sufficient, and you do not need to perform additional steps.
This method of feedback collection is commonly used when submitting an activity such as a new piece of evidence, a self-reflection, peer feedback, or a milestone.
You can always view who your supervisors are in your collection under the 'Access & feedback' panel.
You can hover over each of the supervisor avatars for more information.
In case you want additional feedback from your supervisor or peer, make use of the comment section under the evidence. This can be used for posing a small question or asking for clarification on previously provided feedback.
If you want to request feedback from a specific supervisor, mention them specifically (@supervisor name)
in the comments so they receive notifications even if they have disabled other notifications related to the assessment.
You can collect additional feedback from anyone in- or outside of eJournal’s environment via a feedback request. You can either share one activity or a range of content.
Navigate to the activity you would like to share and select 'Share' from the dropdown menu.
If you would like to share more than one activity, make use of the 'Share' button found at the top right of your collection.
You will be presented with a menu where you can share your entire collection, or specific content.
Do not forget to add a message to your feedback request. This will be sent to the person via email, and will help them focus on what aspects matter to you.
If all you would like to do is receive feedback on some specific categories, make sure to select those categories!
You can find an overview of all of your feedback requests under the 'Sharing & Feedback' tab.
Informal feedback given on a particular activity can be found underneath that activity, indicated by 'Received Feedback' (shown below, showcasing that you got two pieces of feedback).
Your dashboard provides a detailed overview of all the feedback you collected. You can learn about how feedback is illustrated on the dashboard page.
We understand that you do not constantly visit your collection to see if you have received new feedback. So, whenever you receive feedback, we will send you a notification (both via mail and within eJournal).
You can learn more about what notification options are available here.
